Introduction from the Chief Executive. 

Dear Candidate, 

Welcome to the Fundraising Regulator. Thank you for your interest and we hope the information you find here will inspire you to join our friendly team as the new Head of Finance and Registration.

The Fundraising Regulator is currently in a strong position having successfully implemented the first increase to our levy since we were established in 2016. This means that the charities who fund us have recognised that we are committed to supporting them in a rapidly evolving sector and tackling the emerging issues that affect public trust in fundraising. 

Alongside over 2.000 charities that pay the levy we have also had positive responses to the changes that have been made from the 4,400 charities that pay the registration fee and over 200 commercial fundraising organisations that are also registered with us.

All of this means that the new Head of Finance and Registration will find that we are in stable financial position, with good support from our key funders and a well organised operational function.

We are mid-way through an ambitious 5-year Strategic Plan which aims to ensure our regulation is fit for the future, whist also maintaining and developing our internal resources. You will work closely with me, our Board and Finance, Audit and Risk Committee as well as the Senior Management Team and the Finance and Registration team itself. This role requires the ability to be comfortable with the detail of the day to day running of the function alongside the strategic and creative vision of what the organisation might look like in 5 or 10 years’ time.
