On behalf of the Board of Trustees, it is my great pleasure to invite you to consider the role of Chief Executive of Unfold.
Unfold is a charity shaped by the people we serve. Our mission is to help people who face the most challenges get to where they want to be, through mentoring, peer support, advocacy and a governance model that places lived experience at the heart of decision‑making.
This is a pivotal moment for Unfold. We have expanded our work across Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea and neighbouring boroughs; grown our income five‑fold to around £700k; strengthened our senior team; and embedded a new Strategic Framework. We have also built a distinctive participatory governance model through our Women’s Advisory Council and Youth Advisory Council - a model that is not symbolic, but central to how we lead, decide and deliver.
Our outgoing CEO leaves Unfold with momentum, clarity of purpose and a strong organisational culture. This transition is therefore one of continuity and confident evolution, not reinvention. The next CEO will inherit a capable team, a committed Board, and a community of service users who hold real power and influence in shaping our work. You will also have the opportunity to shape Unfold’s future - whether that means deepening our work locally, expanding into new boroughs, or exploring new approaches to funding and advocacy.
This is a rare opportunity to lead an organisation that is trusted locally, respected by partners, and deeply connected to the communities we serve. This is not a conventional CEO role. You will be asked to lead with authority while deliberately sharing power, to move at pace while making space, and to hold complexity rather than simplify it away.
