Reporting to: Executive Director
Direct reports: 4 including Head of Operations, Operations Specialist, IT Solutions role and Operations Co-ordinator role
Salary: £81,380 per annum

Key Responsibilities
Main purpose of the job:
The Director is a newly created position which will play a vital role in shaping B Lab UK’s future. They will lead essential work to devise and deliver our strategies for technology and data, and they will lead the development and implementation of business processes that will be essential for B Lab UK to deliver its new long-term strategy in the coming years. The Director will play an important role on the Senior Leadership Team, helping to shape this fast-growing organisation in pursuit of our exciting and important mission.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Transformation
Develop and implement a digital and data strategy in support of the organisational strategy
Lead a strategic approach to technology at B Lab UK, including ongoing digital transformation
Ongoing operational and strategic planning for technology, and wider business processes including cyber security, project planning and technology investment decisions
Work with stakeholders internally and in the B Lab Global Network to ensure harmonised approaches
Contribute widely across all areas of the organisation as a member of the Executive team.
Technology, Systems and Processes
Ensure technology and systems support organisational processes, planning, and strategy.
Guidance and governance for the organisation in effectively using tools and delivering projects using technology and data
Manage deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and support of technology and systems.
Oversee outsourced tech support including employee helpdesk and tech support services.
Develop and implement plans for IT issues management and incident response
Design and develop business and technology processes and ways of working to support cross organisational collaboration, working with other Directors and staff
Design and develop processes and ways or working to ensure consistent approaches to project design and delivery across the organisation
Oversee the design and coordination of organisation-wide business planning, including monitoring, reporting and evaluation and risk management processes
Oversee effective knowledge management
Oversee the creation and/or improvement of business management systems, processes and best practices, optimising integration, efficiency and staff experience.
Oversee and facilitate contracts and relationships with external suppliers and outsourced activities (landlords, IT services, insurers, key suppliers)
Person Specification
Experience of developing and implementing strategic solutions to improve technology and business process within a rapid growth environment.
Experience of leading change, building organisational capability and driving performance in a people positive manner.
Highly developed analytical skills, combined with a strong commercial acumen.
Ability to lead on internal function areas including IT, Data, Technology and Business processes.
Experience of leading and fostering high performing teams and an impact orientated organisational culture.
Strong influencing skills - ability to collaborate and influence key stakeholders.
Able to operate collaboratively as part of the Senior Leadership Team working closely with the Executive Director and Director of Finance and Operations.
